Set of very large, well padded boots that are fixed to the horses legs by velcro straps. Full sized travel boots extend from the hoof up over the front knees or the hock. Their purpose is to protect the horse's legs during loading, transport, and unloading, as the horse can injure itself during these situations (e.g. kicking itself or slipping off the trailer or lorry ramp). Due to their size and bulkiness, travel boots are not suitable when the horse has to walk more than a few meters, so they should not be used for turnout or exercise.
