An essential , fat soluble vitamin.
Vitamin A is absorbed in the form of beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A is required for healthy skin, hooves, and for good eyesight (and more). Fresh forage (grass) has a high beta-carotene content, but its content in conserved forage such as hay, straw and cereals is low. In Horses which are purely stable kept it should therefore be supplemented.
