A genetic factor known as pangare causes the muzzle and the underside of the belly to be paler than the rest of the coat. This is a fairly common factor and a feature of certain breeds such as Haflingers and Exmoor ponies.
Also known as white eyes or glass eyes: eyes which are blue, or partially blue. These can appear in combination with colour dilutions or colour patching genes, but may also appear in horses with a solid, undiluted basic colour.
