Exercise – Spatial & directional awareness

Horses possess a pronounced awareness of space and time, with an excellent sense of direction and spatial memory. This originates from the necessity to return to good feeding sites and watering holes, or to previously used natural shelters. Domestic horses still exhibit this in their outstanding homing ability, even in the dark.
