Communication – Expressive behaviour

  • Posture: A horse’s stance/posture can indicate mood e.g. alarm, arousal, threat, relaxation or pain
  • Facial expressions: A horse’s facial expression can indicate a wide range of emotions such as fear, submission, aggression, interest or relaxation
