Conformation and intended use of the horse – Fullered or stamped horseshoes

These days, the advantages of the fullered shoe prevail in most day to day use: the shoe is lighter in weight – something not only racehorses may benefit from, and due to its better malleability it is easier to shape, both hot and cold. Furthermore, by dint of its profile, the fullered shoe offers more protection against slipping, even when the nail heads have been worn flat.
